Welcome to Player's, where you get the experience of a larger city sports bar—right in the heart of the South Shore!

 

Player’s isn't just a sports bar; it's a childhood dream come true. 

 

As a kid, one of my favorite places was the commercial-grade kitchen my grandfather built off the back of my grandparents’ split-level home. It had stonework and a jukebox and always smelled of something delicious my Papa was cooking. It brought him such joy to bring people together over good food. 

 

I knew from an early age that I wanted to own a restaurant. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Newbury College and went on to study Mediterranean Diet and nutrition in Florence and Barcelona. But beyond the formal training, my industry experiences taught me the lessons I use every day as the Owner and Operator of Player’s Rockland.

• As a hostess and bartender in the North End, I learned how to make every patron feel like a VIP.

 

• During my culinary training in Italy and Spain, I discovered the magic you could create with quality ingredients and skill.

 

• And as lead bartender at the Liberty Hotel, I fell in love with event planning at the highest level.

 

Since taking ownership of Player's in 2012, I’ve loved becoming a part of the South Shore community and transforming this restaurant into the family-friendly spot it is today. I remember my son Nico as a baby in his bouncer in the early years. Since then, he's grown into a hardworking young man who's been known to help his Mama run out an order from time to time. 

 

When you stop in, you might find me bussing tables, wiping down a counter, delivering a plate of wings with a side of our homemade ranch dressing, or handing out Hoodsie cups to hockey kids after a big game. I hope you say hello. And I hope you know you’re supporting a little girl’s big dream and the years of hard work that made it a reality.
